Terms, Conditions & Policies

Welcome to Sweet Home Pet Spa & Resort! By booking any service (boarding, daycare, grooming, or spa), you agree to the following policies designed to keep pets safe and happy.

Health & Vaccinations

  • All pets must be current on core vaccines (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella).
  • Proof of vaccination is required before your pet’s first visit.
  • Pets showing signs of illness (coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious conditions) may be rescheduled for everyone’s safety.

Food & Belongings

  • For boarding or daycare, please bring your pet’s regular food to avoid stomach upset.
  • Toys, bedding, and comfort items are welcome, but Sweet Home is not responsible for loss or damage.

Behavior & Safety

  • Aggressive or severely anxious pets may be declined if they pose a risk to staff or other animals.
  • Staff may adjust play groups or limit group interaction if needed for safety.

Veterinary Care & Emergencies

  • In an emergency, we will contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you, we may seek veterinary care in your pet’s best interest.
  • All veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility.

Grooming Policies

  • Our groomers follow owner requests as closely as possible, but slight variations can occur depending on coat condition and behavior.
  • Severely matted coats may require shaving for comfort and health. Minor irritation or nicks may occur, especially with heavy matting.

Communication (Texts & Calls)

  • By providing your phone number, you agree that Sweet Home may call or text you about appointments, updates, or emergencies related to your pet.
  • Message frequency varies based on your pet’s stay or grooming schedule. Standard carrier rates may apply.
  • You can opt out of non-emergency messages at any time by replying STOP to a text or letting us know.

Payment & Cancellations

  • Rates are as posted on our Services & Pricing page.
  • Payment is due at pickup.
  • Please give at least 24-hour notice for cancellations; late cancellations may incur a fee.

Liability

  • We care for every pet like family and use reasonable care, but boarding and grooming involve inherent risks (illness, stress, minor injuries).
  • By using our services, you agree to hold Sweet Home, its owners, and staff harmless for incidents beyond our reasonable control.

Photos & Social Media

  • Unless you request otherwise, you grant permission for Sweet Home to share photos or short videos of your pet on our social media or website.

Abandoned Animals

  • Pets left 10 days beyond their scheduled pickup, without contact or payment, may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with Alabama law.

Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
