Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. From rescuing strays as a child to working alongside veterinarians, animal control teams, and shelter staff, I’ve spent over three decades in the world of animal care. I earned my Veterinary Assistant Certification and later my LVT, which allowed me to serve in both clinical and rescue settings — including 16 years in animal rescue. I’ve managed grooming salons, led kennel operations, and built strong relationships with the families and communities I’ve served. Whether it’s fostering, grooming, or providing medical care, I’ve always believed in treating every animal with compassion and honoring their unique spirit. This work has never been just a job to me — it’s a lifelong mission, and one I feel grateful to continue every day.

Hi, I’m Jayla! All my life, I’ve had a passion for helping others. Growing up in Florida with a big family and a disabled brother, I spent a lot of time in hospitals and doctor’s offices. Seeing the compassion of those who cared for him inspired me to do the same. While still in high school, I earned my CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification and spent three years caring for patients—a job I truly loved.
After a car accident changed the direction of my career, I worked as a Medical Assistant. While I gained valuable experience, I felt something was still missing. That changed when I moved to Alabama. I started visiting the local animal shelter. Supporting pets in need opened my heart in a whole new way—and that’s when I found my true calling. Today, my mission is to give animals the love, care, and happy lives they deserve. Providing pet families with a safe, welcoming place where they can feel confident their dogs are in the best hands. Helping animals has become my passion, and I’m so grateful to turn that passion into a purpose.

Working with animals has always been a true passion of mine. Whether I'm dodging zoomies in the play yard or getting lovingly drooled on during bath time, I genuinely enjoy every chaotic and heartwarming moment being in the animal field. In the past years I've gained hands-on experience in vet med and at the local animal shelter down in Florida where I grew up. There my roles were wide in range but I learned some good values like how to care for animals with all kinds of quirks, from drama queen cats to dogs who think they’re lap-sized ponies. I'm a proud pet parent to two rescued senior dogs who have taught me patience, empathy, and that lint rollers are a way of life. I truly love what I do and am committed to giving every animal the love, laughter, and care that they deserve.
